Justine and Andy’s Wedding

One of my favorite parts of doing design is being able to help a company just starting out to brand themselves. We were given this opportunity with Nunu Chocolates which were referred to us by Union Market. At the time, founder and chocolatier, Justine Pringle, had a full-time job and made delicious chocolates on the side and sold at a couple of stores in Brooklyn. We worked with her to develop a unique voice for her brand by designing her logo, stationery, packaging and website. Since then she has left her day job, sells at several markets in New York, stores across the country and has her very own Nunu Chocolates flagship store on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn (expect pictures in the branding section soon).

Working with Justine has been such a pleasure. She is a kind person, has a good sense of design and is always wearing smile that is highly contagious. We’ve become such good friends with Justine and her other half, Andy, that we had the honor of designing their wedding invites and even were invited to their wedding. The magical wedding was held at the amazing Steiner Studios at the Brooklyn Navy Yards on New Year’s Eve. Quite possibly the nicest wedding I have ever been to, the black tie event was a special celebration for two very special people. And I’m not just saying that for the free chocolates!

Merry Pixmas

Pix Design along with all of their clients, vendors and friends get excited around one very special day of the year in December. Barely capable of sleep, they lie in bed the night before dreaming of food, companions and presents.

That’s right, we’re talking about the Pix Design Holiday Party! Every year all of our office mates pull together a potluck feast (email me if you want the recipe for my Devil’s on Horseback ;-), our guests take part in an often hilarious, and sometimes naughty, gift exchange and we end the night in karaoke debauchery. This year was arguably one of the best parties, and latest running, we have had here. And despite the treacherous snow storm we had here in NYC, we had a really nice turnout. We had a lot of new guests this year and the menagerie of personalities was a success! Thank you to everyone who was able to make it.
